Introduction and mission

The mission of the ERF2007 International Program is to ensure that the international marine and estuarine research and management community is appropriately represented at the conference. The ERF2007 International Program Committee (IPC) focus is on four areas:

  • Presentations by well-known international scientists, largely by invitation - it is assumed that these scientists are able to fund their participation;
  • Presentations by young scientists, including poster presentations. These will be contributed presentations - it is assumed that these scientists may need complementary financial support. More details are provided below;
  • International students should apply for ERF student travel awards, and can have their registration reimbursed if they work for a day. In the past, international students have successfully applied for student travel through the standard pathway;
  • Broad international attendance - the IPC cannot financially support attendance alone, but the ERF organizing committee provides a range of initiatives to encourage participation.

Venue and dates

The ERF2007 conference will take place in Providence, Rhode Island, U.S.A.on November 4 - 8, 2007.
